Dr. Mary-Jane Snair is a child psychotherapist. Her travels in a military family over the years have taken her to North Carolina, Maryland, and Delaware. She now maintains her licensing to professionally counsel in all three states. She holds a passion for helping children and adolescents with mental health needs and their families. She lives in North Carolina with her husband Scott. Their two adult daughters also live in North Carolina.
She is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland, and a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health (LPCMH) in Delaware. She is board certified (NCC) by the National Board for Certified Counselors and is a nationally certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT). Dr. Snair holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Fielding Graduate University (APA Accredited Program), and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Saint Elizabeth University.
Dr. Snair’s twenty-year counseling career has included service for institutions such as Delaware Guidance Services in Seaford, Delaware, and Princeton House Behavioral Health in Princeton, New Jersey. She also has worked as a school-based clinician in school systems, providing child and adolescent counseling and serving as the case-management liaison among students, community agencies, treatment centers, and the court system, as well as in IEP meetings at the schools.
